The 12th place LPL team has successfully knocked the first place, undefeated Korean team in a best of 3, proceeding to the finals against Team Solomid.

For the first time in an international tournament where a Korean team has participated, one is not in the finals, as GE Tigers made an exit in the semi-finals.  The last time a Korean team wasn't in the grand finals was actually with World Elite at the conclusion of IPL5.  While GE Tigers managed to take the first win,  World Elite were able to take the series led by Spirit having an amazing performance in the jungle and Xiye with an incredible victory in the middle lane.

Tomorrow, Team Solomid faces off against World Elite in an unsuspected final match to crown themselves as the IEM World Champions.
