AHQ's jungler, Mountain, was another victim among many other pro players who couldn't appear on the competitive stage due to health issues. Mountain took to Facebook to explain his recent health issues.
[The following text is a translation of Mountain's words as posted on Facebook]
Let me explain to everyone about my recent wrist issues. I have had the wrist injury since the start of my professional gaming career. Initially it was tendinitis. Then it developed into chronic tendinitis. Afterwards the nerves also started to become inflamed. I have persisted with my medical treatments for almost an year and a half and it still hasn't been cured. This created a lot of worries for my practice. I could not practice 10+ matches of scrims a day like the other pros.
Until recently, the relapses of my condition have been decreasing a lot. My boss came up with many solutions, including that if I really cannot keep playing I will be transferred into another job. I didn't tell my boss at that time that I only wanted to play LoL. I believe I could still play.
I went to a doctor today for a nerve conduction study. I received a medical report this afternoon, saying that I have overstressed the nerves of my two hands. The nerve reaction time slowed by 0.2 seconds. I told the doctor that sometimes my hands hurt so much that I couldn't hold a mouse. My doctor advised me to give up my job. He said that my body is telling me that I cannot continue. But before today's match, I told myself that I can keep going. I have to keep going. Finally, I was able to pull it off.
I just want to tell everyone: don't worry about what other people say. All you have to do is believe in yourself. Faith is the most important thing. When other people tell you that you cannot do something, you must tell yourself that you absolutely can. Only twenty more days before my dream will be fulfilled. I told myself, I can definitely do it.
