Valve's debut in DOTA eSports begun with the first International tournament in 2011. Since then The International has grown exponentionally each year and become a major fixture of the eSports landscape. This year Valve has decided to create a circuit of three major tournaments leading up to The International, and eSports Heaven has learned that their Fall Major tournament will take place in the middle of November. Our source has stated that many people received an email containing the following message

You are receiving this email because you have hosted DOTA 2 events in the past. We are currently planning to run the DOTA 2 Fall Major tournament in the middle of November. While we are not ready to announce details to the public yet, we wanted to let you know as soon as possible.

eSports Heaven has been able to authenticate the e-mail as a legitimate one from Valve. The fall major will be the first of three events announced by Valve back in April. Be sure to check back for further details including venue and teams attending as they become available.
