OPT Zaboutine: “I would remember this year as a success, whereas the first year was just a pure failure for me[…] As long as you keep improving, there’s a reason to keep grinding”
The quarterfinals match of Counter-Logic Gaming and OpTic Gaming ended in a victory for CLG 3-0, but the series score doesn't reflect the chances OpTic had to at least take a game off of CLG. Game 1 was all but a victory for OPT, while game 2 and 3 were more readily tilted towards CLG having the upper hand a majority of the game.
Esports Heaven got the chance to speak with head coach of OPT, Zaboutine, to discuss the series, the problems with OPT, what he's taken away from this split, and a word to the fans of the team.
