After finishing her uniform university entrance exam, a high-school girl from Guizhou province in China left home alone to meet her idol in the Guangzhou province despite her parent's disapproval. This so-called idol is neither a movie star nor a big shot; he is a video game streamer.

This incident actually did happen near us. It was reported that during her journey to pursue her idol, she was almost conned. Thankfully, she has returned to her parent's side.

Girl Returns Home After Chasing Her Idol

Young girl infatuated with Dopa's charisma, traveled thousands of miles just to meet her idol

According to reports, Xiao Hong is a normal third-year high-school student from the Guizhou province. Unlike other girls, she doesn't like to go shopping or watch soap operas. Her favourite hobby is to stay at home and play video games.

Therefore, her idols are different than other people. When asked, she always says that her idol is Dopa. Why? Because he has good mechanics and looks super cool.

Dopa is a Korean pro gamer. After impressing the Chinese streaming website, Huya, with his unmatched skills, he signed a contract as their featured streamer.

Xiao Hong's biggest wish is to travel to the Guangzhou province to meet her Korean idol. After finding out that the Huya’s headquarters is in Guangzhou, she concluded that Dopa must also live in Guangzhou. Since she was too busy preparing for her university entrance examination, she planned to fulfill her wish after finishing the exam.

Finally, after finishing her stressful exams, the super-excited Xiao Hong told her parents that same night about her idea of traveling to Guangzhou as part of her post-exam relaxation.

However, she was met with rejection. The reason being her parents didn’t feel safe that a girl her age should travel that far away from home by herself. But Xiao Hong had already made up her mind. She sneaked onto a train to Guangzhou after her parents left for work the next day.

Alone by Herself Almost Got Conned

After arriving at Guangzhou, Xiao Hong prepared to travel to the Huya headquarters on a bus. She called her parents. Without a choice, they told her to be careful and come home early. Unbeknownst to Xiao Hong, her entire conversation with her parents was eavesdropped by a local goon.

Following Xiao Hong onto the bus, the goon purposely sat next to her and lied to her that one of his friends works at the building of Huya’s headquarters. He offered to accompany Xiao Hong to find her idol.

The goon picked up his phone and called his “friend”, inquiring about the location of Dopa. Afterward, he told her that Dopa’s home was close to Huya’s headquarters. Xiao Hong doubtfully followed the goon off the bus. But upon realizing that he was constantly leading her to the secluded alleyways, she bolted as fast as she could in the opposite direction. After she ran to a crowded place, she realized that she dropped her wallet in the alleyways, but she was too afraid of going back to pick it up.

Without even seeing the shadow of her idol and already penniless, she wanted to cry but no tears came out. Without a choice, she contacted her parents, who rushed to Guangzhou to pick her up overnight.

After that incident, Xiao Hong still loves to watch Dopa and other streamers on the internet. But she never mentioned the incident again to anyone.

The point of this article is: it’s ok for young girls to chase their idols, but don’t do it blindly without thinking over the matter first.
