Dota 2's The International 2023 Regional Qualifiers' brackets have been by PGL. These tournaments will give teams their last chance at qualifying to the biggest competition of the year for the MOBA.  

Regional Qualifier Rules

  Eight teams will join the twelve which qualified to The International 2023 through the DPC rankings. Given there are only six regional qualifiers happens, that means two of them will bring two seeds, while the others will only bring one each. South America and Western Europe were the regions chosen to have two seeds coming through the regional qualifiers. Teams can participate in these qualifiers if they played in the third tour of DPC 2023 but didn't manage to qualify through points, as long as the three player core hasn't been changed. Seeding for the brackets is decided by a team's final DPC ranking or, if multiple teams have zero DPC points, it's chosen by their placement in the final regional tour. All regional qualifiers are organized by PGL.  

Regional Qualifiers

 

China and North America

These will be the first The International 2023 Regional Qualifiers to be played. Both tournaments will take place between the 17th and 21st of August and both of them have 13 teams competing. As mentioned previously, only 1 seed from each of these regions will make it to TI 2023.

Team Aster, Azure Ray and Invictus Gaming where the two three seeds in this bracket, based off of DPC points. All the matches are BO3 and the top 9 teams begin in the upper bracket.

Since it has the same number of teams, North America's bracket is identical to China's. Nouns should be heavy favorites as the only team to be in the top 20 of the DPC, especially after their impressive showing at the Bali Major.  

Eastern Europe and South America

These regional qualifiers kick off on the 22nd and finish on the 26th. The rules remain, but the brackets will differ slightly in this case.

Eastern Europe only has 12 teams competing, so all lower-bracket matches will be played against Upper-bracket opponents. Virtus Pro were the only team here who really got some points at the DPC, with all others remaining under 100 points.

This is a different looking bracket for two reasons: South America only has 11 teams present and two of them will make it to The International 2023. So, two BO3 wins for any of the Upper-Bracket teams will mean instant qualification.  

Southeast Asia and Western Europe

The two last regional qualifiers will happen between the 27th and 31st of August.

Southeast Asia is the regional qualifier with most teams playing. 14 rosters will be fighting for a single seed. There are multiple good teams present here, so it should be a bloodbath.

Last but not least, we have the qualifier for the most stacked region in the world of Dota 2. Western Europe has the top three DPC teams and will take two more to TI 2023 through this qualifier.
