World Of Warcraft: What Are Paladins Getting In Season Of Discovery?

World Of Warcraft: Classic's newest season, Season of Discovery is right around the corner. However, what can Paladin mains look forward to in the coming days?

Chest Runes

Seal of Martyrdom Season of Discovery is shaking stuff up, even for seals! Seal of Martyrdom is a new seal for Paladins in Season of Discovery.  It looks impressive as a burst DPS tool in PvP and will likely be competing as your go-to seal for Retribution.  Divine Storm Divine Storm just adds another button to press. It's great in PvP as it heals and deals on-demand damage. It's great in PvE for Retribution for the same reasons. However, it may also be a choice Protection Paladins may opt for depending on raid and group composition.  Horn of Lordaeron Horn of Lordaeron is a great buff for any party content.  This is a solid choice overall but more suited for PvE.  Aegis Barring a "sword and board" macro for PvP, Aegis looks to be a Protection and Holy PvP rune. This will likely be your go-to talent choice for healing in PvP and will make you quite tanky.

Leg Runes

Divine Sacrifice This is going to save your Blackfathom Deeps' raids and most of your 5-man dungeons at some point. 30% damage mitigation party-wide is an incredibly strong cooldown. This will likely be a must-take for some Protection and Holy Paladins in PvE. Inspiration Exemplar This new pseudo-Tremmor Totem buff gives Paladins even more tools to handle Warlocks in PvP. A 2-minute buff can be purged is far better than a 5 HP totem that anyone can kill. Do not sleep on this if you're grouping for Ashenvale PvP.  Avenger's Shield Avenger's Shield is your go-to tank rune for legs. However, depending on your group composition in PvP, this may be an interesting look for Paladins for the daze it grants. This gives Retribution a minor gap closer and Holy a way to kite melee threats.  Exorcist Burst damage on demand is great for PvP, great for DPS in PvE, and can be used for aggressive Holy compositions. This is a must-take for dungeons like Shadowfang Keep with how much Undead targets there are.  Rebuke It's a kick. Who doesn't love having a kick?

Hand Runes

Beacon of Light Here is where things get weird. Beacon of Light is typically locked in the Holy tree. While Paladin healers will always take this, no questions asked, could there be some tomfoolery to be explored with tanks taking this? Hard to say, would not recommend outside of Holy.  Crusader Strike This is your bread-and-butter button for Retribution. Gives you mana, an on-demand source of damage, must take for Retribution and fringe aggressive Holy paladins.  Hand of Reckoning Hand of Reckoning you must have if you want to tank. This increases your threat generation to 80% with Righteous Fury. However, what makes this interesting is the defensive effect.  "Additionally, while Righteous Fury is active, damage which takes you below 35% health is reduced by 20%." Could you take this for PvP for the damage reduction? It's worth a try, right?  World Of Warcraft: Classic's Season of Discovery launches on November 30th at 1:00 pm PST / 4:00 pm EST.
