The groups for the Dota 2 Lima Major have been announced by 4D Esports and Epulze Gaming. 4D Esports teased the announcement via Twitter that the group stage draws would take place on 17th February 2023 at 2 PM (PET).

Avo+ and Blue were announced as the hosts for English and Spanish languages, respectively. The Dota 2 Lima Major group stage will be divided into two groups of nine teams each. The top four teams in each group will proceed to the upper bracket of the playoffs. Teams placed 5th-6th will proceed to the lower bracket of the playoffs whilst the bottom two teams will be eliminated.

  The Lima Major will be held at the Arena 1 stadium in Lima, Peru. It is the first-ever major to be held in South America, home to thousands of passionate Dota fans. The event will also solidify South America as an emerging region for the ever-growing player base. The Lima Major will boast of a $500,000 prize pool and 1900 DPC points. The event will be streamed in English on the following channels:
