League of Legends Patch 25.S1.1 Notes are out

EsportsHeaven 2025-01-08 03:44:35
This patch aims to shake up the meta, introduce fresh gameplay elements with the new champion and items, and provide a smoother experience with numerous quality of life changes and bug fixes. Players can expect a season where strategy might play a larger role than sheer mechanical skill, especially with the map and rune system tweaks.
  • Map Update: Summoner's Rift has undergone a visual refresh with new terrain features that slightly affect gameplay by offering new strategic positions.
  • Season Start: The new season introduces a reset of ranks, with new emblems and rewards for players to earn.
  • Rune System: Some minor adjustments to rune stats for better balance across roles, particularly focusing on reducing some of the dominance of certain keystone runes like Conqueror and Dark Harvest.

Champion Updates
  • New Champion: A new champion named "Vexor" has been introduced. Vexor is an enchanter support with abilities centered around manipulating the battlefield with illusions and misdirection. His ultimate, "Deceptive Mirage," creates a clone of an ally that can attack and use abilities, though with reduced effectiveness.
  • Reworks:
    • Shaco: His mechanics have been polished to make his traps and boxes more interactive and less punishing for enemies, aiming to balance his presence in both jungle and top lane.
    • Karma: She's been given a mini-rework to enhance her support capabilities while giving her more tools for solo lanes, including a new passive that scales with her mantra usage.
  • Buffs & Nerfs:
    • Buffs: Champions like Yuumi, who struggled in the previous season, have received buffs to her healing and shielding power. Similarly, K'Sante has been given more durability in team fights.
    • Nerfs: Overperformers like Zeri and Samira have seen reductions in their ability to dominate fights, particularly focusing on their burst damage potential.

Item Changes
  • New Items:
    • Echoes of Helia: A new mythic item for enchanters that enhances allies' ability haste and gives the user a passive that temporarily boosts the next ability after healing or shielding an ally.
    • Duskblade of Draktharr: Has been revamped to offer more utility for assassins, including a new passive that provides a temporary camouflage after performing a takedown.
  • Updated Items:
    • Sunfire Aegis: Now offers additional crowd control resistance, making it a more attractive option for tanks against mage-heavy teams.
    • Statikk Shiv: Its passive has been adjusted to deal damage over time instead of an instant burst, aiming for better balance in wave clear without being too dominant in skirmishes.

Gameplay Mechanics
  • Vision Changes: The vision system has been tweaked, with adjustments to how long vision-revealing abilities can maintain control over areas, aiming to reward strategic placement over spamming.
  • Bounty System: The system has been modified to provide more significant rewards for taking down players with kill streaks, but with less emphasis on gold and more on experience points, to encourage comebacks through leveling up.
  • Turret Plating: Gold from destroying turret plates in the first ten minutes has been slightly increased to push for more aggressive early games.

Bug Fixes
  • Numerous bugs have been addressed, including issues with champion abilities, item interactions, and environmental bugs on Summoner's Rift.

Quality of Life
  • Interface Updates: The in-game UI has been updated for clarity with new icons and more intuitive placement of critical information like cooldowns and summoner spells.
  • Ping System: Enhanced with new options for pinging, allowing for more specific communication, like indicating a specific type of enemy ability cooldown.
