With the summer split fast approaching the transfer market is hotter than ever, and Gambit Gaming have made some moves to strengthen going into that section of the year. There was bad news for Kristoffer ‘Pinoy’ Pederson as the AD Carry was relegated to the role of substitute, but fans are delighted with his replacement, none other than Greek LoL legend Konstantinos ‘Forg1ven’ Tzortiou, formerly a member of SK Gaming.
A number of top players had already auditioned for the role of top laner with Gambit, with the list rumoured to include the likes of Jebus, Steeelback and even new combinations of their existing roster, but after much scouring of the talent pool Gambit have settled on Forg1ven and Edward ‘Edward’ Abgaryan in the bot lane.
With Forg1ven already having won the EU LCS MVP award in his time at SK, this move is certain to strengthen Gambit Gaming, not only in play but from a moral point of view as well judging by their press release on the subject, which alluded to ‘minor tensions within the team that we hope to alleviate with this roster change’. Either way, the team is already prepping for the split that starts May 28th, and with this move they’re in as strong a position as ever.
