Konstantinos “FORG1VEN” Tzortziou benched by Gambit, put up for transfer

Gambit Gaming have announced today that Konstantinos "FORG1VEN" Tzortziou will be moved from his starting ADC position on their League of Legends team to the substitute spot, effective immediately. The player, widely regarded as the best AD carry in European LoL, was suspended yesterday by Riot for ‘toxic behaviour’, but this move is something of a culmination to what has undoubtedly been a difficult time for the former SK Gaming star.

Previously the focus of a hugely successful SK Gaming line-up, FORG1VEN was signed by a Gambit team seemingly intent on fitting him into their playstyle, rather than making him the fulcrum of their outfit in the way SK had. This move has apparently left the Greek star unmotivated for LoL, and experimenting with Heroes of the Storm, as well as not producing the upswing in results Gambit were expecting upon their acquisition of Tzortziou.

Speculation on a possible move away from Gambit for FORG1VEN as well as over who could replace him is already growing on Reddit and beyond, but his current organisation have made it clear they are willing to listen to offers. The statement on their site announcing the benching went on: ‘We are not interested in keeping FORG1VEN on our bench until his contract expires…we believe that he will be able to fulfil himself in another team. Consequently, we are putting him up for transfer and are ready to negotiate deals with interested parties’.
