After a vote between varying teams from the LPL for a Chinese team, LPL Summer 2015 champion LGD Gaming will be participating. Although LGD only found victories after reassessing their game plan and bringing in star top laner Lee 'Flame' Ho-Jung in the second week of the group stage for the 2015 World Championships, they've always shown promise in a playoff format back at home.
Intel Extreme Masters San Jose consists of five other teams, with LGD Gaming completing the lineup. The team lineup is as follows:
- Fnatic (EU)
- Origen (EU)
- Counter Logic Gaming (NA)
- Team Solomid (NA)
- Jin Air Green Wings (KR)
- LGD Gaming (CN)
