LowLandLions Challenger team set to join Copenhagen Wolves organization

Contrary to being slated as one of the worst teams in the league by most Challenger Series experts prior to the split, LowLandLions have shown their worth in the series over the past five weeks. Within the regular split, the team took second place, sitting happily below xPeke-owned team, Origen. They’ve also recently taken down Gamers 2 in a 2-0 victory in the first round of the Challenger Series playoffs and have secured a spot into the LCS Summer Promotion Tournament.

Despite their recent success, LowLandLions have parted ways with their parent organization. Sources close to the team tell Esports Heaven that the team is to sign with the Copenhagen Wolves brand within the week.

With this addition, Copenhagen Wolves will be the only European LCS team with current interest in the EU Challenger Series. This move by the Wolves follows a trend of LCS teams picking up Challenger teams; in the past, teams such as SK Gaming, Fnatic, Dignitas, Counter Logic Gaming, Cloud 9, & Team SoloMid have picked up or formed secondary teams for the Challenger league and Copenhagen Wolves is now joining the list.

When reached out to, members of the Copenhagen Wolves organization have declined to comment. Esports Heaven will keep you up-to-date with more information on the story as it develops.
