Over the past several months, Team Fusion jungler, Joshua “NintendudeX” Atkins has been a name in the spotlight for the North American Challenger Scene. During his time with Fusion, Atkins was a giant part of their success in the North American 2015 Expansion Tournament, of which his team made it to the final four. Unfortunately, Atkins & Fusion did not finish top 2 at the tournament, failing to secure a spot for LCS the following split. The team was granted a spot in the 2015 Spring Challenger Series, though, of which they are to begin playing on February 17th.
However, for Atkins, he has been plagued with medical issues, specifically abnormal seizures during his time at the Fusion gaming house. After his first episode, he was immediately taken the Emergency Room and was under heavy care to be checked for any abnormal sightings in his system. This past week, Atkins once again experienced an episode, and was immediately rushed to the Emergency Room once again. This time, however, he was scanned via MRI later that day.
Since, League of Legends fans have yet to hear much about the health of Atkins, but sources close to EsportsHeaven have confirmed that he will no longer be living in the Fusion house & playing with the team. The player recently tweeted a photo of himself on an airplane leaving Los Angeles. Upon arrival at his destination, Atkins tweeted "home sweet home."

Replacements for the player are not yet confirmed; however, sources close to EsportsHeaven have suggested that allegedly former Dignitas jungler, Alberto “Crumbz” Rengifo, & solo queue jungler, Grigne are in try-outs for the team. Rengifo is best known for his time with Team Dignitas as a top laner & jungler, of which he was the team captain prior to stepping down this past week. Grigne, however, is a bit of an unknown talent, who is often seen duo queueing with Team SoloMid mid laner, Soren “Bjergsen” Bjerg.
When approached, Team Fusion refused to comment on the story. EsportsHeaven will keep you up to date with the story as more information unfolds.
