Team Dignitas signs Helios

Two weeks into the the summer split, Team Dignitas has decided to change up the roster.   On june 9th, 2015 they announced the signing of former Winterfox/CJ Entus jungler Shin “Helios” Dong-jin.   Back in early May, there were rumors of Dignitas looking to sign “Helios” before the start of the split.  It appears the move has finally come to fruition.

The signing appears to come at somewhat of an awkward time, as Team Dignitas has started the summer split with a 3-1 record.  A major component of securing this record has been current jungler Andrew “Azingy” Zamarripa.  Excellent play from Zamarripa on his pocket pick Zac, have lead Dignitas to a start that almost no one expected.  Nevertheless Zamarripa’s limited champion pool and experience, looks to have lead Team Dignitas to making the move.

Coach Sami “Rico” Harbi said, “Going into the Summer split, I have the goal to take the team to the playoffs,” and “The team has the ambition and the skill to make it, but we need to add versatility to the roster.”  That “versatility” could come from the massive experience base that “Helios” has acquired over his career, in both America and Korea.  Shin boasts a much larger champion pool in professional games, than the much less experienced Zamarripa.  Shin will also add the benefit of improved communication with his new Korean import teammates, top laner Noh “Gamsu” Yeong-jin and adc Jo “CoreJJ” Yong-in.

Coach “Rico” continued: "I'm happy to welcome Helios, a seasoned jungler to our roster. With Helios our laners full potential will unlock. An experienced jungler is key to ensuring our ticket to playoffs and beyond."
