EDIT: To clarify, as many people have asked, the team is still in the Riot North American Challenger Series. The change is that they will no longer be a part of the Team SoloMid brand and will have no connection or contracts with the organization any longer.
Late last evening, Esports Heaven reported that Team SoloMid Darkness’ AD Carry, David “t3azer” Berube livestreamed scrimmage matches versus Counter Logic Gaming Black on Hitbox.tv. He then gave VODs of the scrimmages to CLG Black’s upcoming opponent Team Fusion; specifically coach Keaton “Bee Sin” Cryer. Both Team Fusion & Counter Logic Gaming came forward with official statements regarding the manner:
"I absolutely condemn these actions personally. I’ve always tried to hold the organization to the highest moral standard, and it’s my personal failing that this breach has occurred. This occurred as a result of our inability to hold the team to the highest levels of accountability and we’ll be implementing additional internal policies to ensure this low, low level of sportsmanship is never reached again.
I’ve spoken with Hotshot, and despite the fact that this harmed his challenger team’s success we’ve both moved past the situation, and I’d urge the community to do the same." - Team Fusion owner, Alden "Veyloris" Haight
"Unfortunately, this occurrence happened without us [CLG] knowing initially. When we found out about the situation, it was disheartening to know that our scrimmages were compromised and that vital information to maintain the competitive integrity of the matches was released to another team. Integrity and trust between the teams involved in the competitive splits is important to maintain in terms of keeping the spirit of competition alive. No matter what is on the line, there are boundaries that should never be crossed." - Counter Logic Gaming

Despite these two official statements coming forward late in the evening, Team SoloMid has stayed quiet to the public. However, sources close to Team SoloMid Darkness tell Esports Heaven that team owner, Andy “Reginald” Dinh has decided that the organization will terminate the entire Challenger team. The reasons for the termination are not only the unsportsmanlike leaking of opponents’ scrimmages, but also from the team’s current 1-7 record (last place) in the North American Challenger Series. Sources also say that TSM has yet to pay the players for this split; however, they are to pay them before parting ways.
We’ve reached out to Team SoloMid regarding the termination of the players, but they have currently not responded. Esports Heaven will keep you up-to-date with any new development in the story.
