FlyQuest have plans to scout talent for as a long term commitment, starting with the 2024 LCS Spring split. Nasar "Empyre" Al-Naqi is FLY's new head of scouting, in charge of finding new prospects for the organization as well as gathering intel on opposing team's in-game strategies. Empyre has a long and storied career, working for such notable teams as NRG, Origen, Clutch Gaming, Misfits Gaming and Evil Geniuses. Scouting talent in LoL has never truly been discussed in-depth and largely remains a mystery to many outside professional organizations. Esports Heaven spoke with FlyQuest's Empyre to discuss how to scout on the solo queue ladder, one-tricks, NA server population, pocket picks, the discovery of Danny and Jojopyun, scouting the enemy team, and the new rookies of the 2024 LCS Spring split FLY roster Fahad "Massu" Abdulmalek, and Alan "Busio" Cwalina.
